Che Blaq

Che Blaq

When you need to set the mood Che Blaq is definitely the one to call on. Sexy, smooth, and sultry are the choice ingredients in this hypnotic brew. This Seattle based R&B crooner is preparing to unveil his solo debut album entitled "FEARLESS" which should be available in 2009. Che Blaq brings a uniquely provocative and edgy style utilizing electronica, pop, R&B, and soul creating a fresher more seductive sound for urban music.

Che says, "This is just the beginning stage of my career, and I feel like I'm ready to share my music and my life with the world. I'm not one of those artists who only appeals to one certain crowd...just look at my friend's lists!!!"

Che Blaq holds his fans to a more family oriented relationship; "I want all my fans and friends to know that I'm not the star here. No matter wherever I am or whatever I'm doing, my fans motivate and inspire me to reach a higher standard", he says, "They make me who I am. We are all intricate parts of the Che Blaq movement, and I'm always going to anchor that responsibility and give them my best."

Che Blaq, the CEO of music media production brand HouseHold Entertainment/Island Hills Publishing, has been an artist with the Seattle based R&B duo the ARq, and has been a part of many successful projects in the U.S. and Europe, and is hard at work on a multitude of local, national, and international projects.

This producer/vocalists somewhat impressive resume includes artists ranging from, PLIES(Atlantic Records), YUNG JOC(Badboy Records), CASELY(Epic), D-SANE(Not2Sane Productions/Street Level Records), SKUNTDUNANNA A.K.A. MAFIA(Skunt Muzik), IVY DARLING, LAWRENCE "ILLOQUINT" WILDER, WILLIE WILL(Beatmart Records), NEEMA of UNEXPECTED ARRIVAL(The Art Music), S.K. THE KING, NIGHTSHEILD, SEAN GOODE, ADRIANE "AO" OWENS, PORTIA MONIQUE, TWIN G, NIGHTBREED, and many others.

Che Blaq is known for musically taking his own experiences pouring them into every song creating more than just a simple track or album. This diverse and talented artist brings you an influential soundtrack to all of life's seasons. He is truly a godsend to the creativity limited selection in today's R&B market.

Cendrine Marrouat
"Soul Poetry"

Soul Poetry

Cendrine defines poetry as "the language of the soul". Her body of work follows this definition very closely. Focusing almost exclusively on spirituality, her positive messages have helped many readers to reconnect with God and face their fears, especially death.

Independent, driven, and hardworking, her ultimate goal is to (re-)educate audiences about poetry. And she has partly achieved it. As one of her readers says, "you seem to have found a way to accomplish something the "experts" said couldn't be done: popularize poetry. Kudos to you!". Her show, "Poetic Moments", will also further her objectives.

Cendrine is the author of "And They All Rejoiced! Soul-Stirring Poetry", "Short Poetry for Those Who Fear Death", "Sortons des chemins battus. Poésie de l'âme", "Project: Heartbeats and Elevation", and "Rizen-The CD".

Feel free to visit her website at: http://www.soulpoetrysite.com. From there, you will access her blog, her store, her networks, and much more..."

POEMS

I have chosen two poems that are already published on my poetry blog.

A PARTICLE OF YOU

There is a particle of you
That I will love, always.
A speck of tenderness
Mixed with a grain of happiness
That I remember, always.
You are greater than you think.

That particle of you
Is a gift to the world.
It contains the essence
Of a bashful infant soul
That will soon grow.
Some may tease you,
But I never ever will.

Because, that particle of you
Is a speck of tenderness
Mixed with a grain of happiness.
And it is a gift to the world
That I will treasure until
It is time for us to part.

There is a particle of you
That I will love, always.

GOD

Grandiose scope of mankind's mind,
Osmotic Father of molecules and Words,
Divine knowledge of the All and Only,

Great thinker behind the greatest ideas,
Openhearted and endless evolution
Dawning upon those who know and care,

Gently, slowly, you let us embrace you.
Openly, you love us, whatever our faults.
Dignified, you make us feel!

God you are, and God you'll stay.
On top of everything, you'll shine,
Dancing joyously with the stars.

God you are, and God you'll stay,
Omnipotent until the end of all, and
Divine opulence of the Soul!

I shall believe in you, always,
For every second of infinity.
And infinity is a country that loves
The pure and untamed at heart!

Excerpt from Taste: An Erotic Fantasy Series, Book I

Beneath a sweltering noonday sun, the prickling sensation in her fingertips began to spread. Profuse sweating and violent hallucinations followed as the world around her swirled in the purplish haze of a narcotic high. Time slid to a sluggish halt the moment she closed her eyes, helplessly watching the blinding blue dance with screaming red behind her eyelids. Phase One of the shape-shift brought about a hurt so intense that all thought quickly became a dizzying distortion of memory. Painless movement was no longer an option. The splintering feel of tiny sand granules beneath her skin became an extrasensory nightmare. Simple breathing was a labor all its own as she prepared for the inevitable wave of agony. The tortured moan never received the opportunity to escape her lips. A blistering surge below her navel descended through her large fin etched with thick, overlapping golden scales. She attempted to steady her shallow breaths when an oddly pitched tone joined the ringing in her ears. A horrid visual affirmed what she'd already known; she was ripping in two. White heat coursed through her thinly stretched veins while layers of skin pushed out of the scales in droves only to absorb them again and finally diffuse into dark brown pigment. Muscle enveloped itself over the soft cartilage now hardening into bone as joints slid and popped in place with an unknown precision.

Eyes closed tightly; no energy remained to watch the remainder of her transformation. She gagged on the acidic bile coating her tongue and attempted to home in on the song in the distance. Mental strength prevailed as her erratic breaths matched the melodious tune, riding it peacefully like the wind. Slowly her body's temperature lowered, stabilized, and cooled. Strands of wet hair clung to her cheeks, ears, and forehead, partially obstructing her view of the sea nearby. She fought to open her eyes. The familiar, five-foot wide golden-scaled fin was gone and a foreign pair of legs and feet had taken its place. Carefully, she turned her head, lifting it just centimeters from the sunbathed beach. Peering cautiously into the blinding sunlight, she observed the countless bodies lying in recovery on the white sand. Clarity slowly penetrated her hazy thoughts; and from the looks of it, the others were just as out of sorts as she. Lying back down with a soft thud, she drifted. It was time to heal.

Title: Taste
Author: B. Sharise Moore
ISBM: 978-160585-198-3
Genre: Fantasy/Drama

Flava Rating: 9 snaps
Amazon Rating: 5

Taste by B. Sharise Moore is a combination of writing styles in one. It incorporates drama, fantasy and erotica. Taste is about a colonization that starts out as one, splitting into different groups and co-existing outside of one another. It appears some served a purpose for each other, while other groups kept their distance with respect or so it seems. The customs of the "Ido" group in this book is the main focus, sharing of their traditions and rituals. The Mers, The Painted Folk, Sphinx and Djinn are some of the other groups that play supporting roles in the telling of the Ido's story. The Ido's are separated into two groups; the Elder and the Youth. These two groups hold very strong traditions that mark their existence and purpose. They are thrown off when a stranger appears, sharing with them of a different life and way of thinking. This causes much conflict amongst their people, sadly ending in war between the Elders and the Youth. The Elders, being the group that is swayed by these strangers' teachings, led to the Youth's disappointment. The Youth held strong to the traditions of their culture, while the new teaching created frustration and anger, as they desired to keep things as they had always been. Part of the traditions of the Ido's was when it came to choosing a mate; your mate was not chosen for love, but merely for procreation to continue the existence of their people. What do you do if you fall in love when it is not an accept emotion to feel or openly express, was the concern going through the minds of two of the youth. When the stranger, known as The Guide comes into the lives of the Elder, it happens during the very important ritual period for the Youth which leads up to the final rite of Taste. Confusion is felt all around, regarding the rites of Taste vs. loving your mate, the expectations of marriage and loyalty to your beginnings and ones people. To have all this turmoil taking place during the season for the rites of Taste and the outcome of war from it, changed the way of life for all the groups involved.

B. Sharise Moore...took literature to a new level with incorporating all the different groups, elements and storylines. Weaving them all into one great read...while painting you a picture with her words. Her approach to telling this story allowed me to feel as if I was watching it all unfold in front of my eyes. At first one might think there were too many entities to keep up with, but with Ms. Moore's mastery of words and storytelling, she pulled them all together where it made sense to me. I am a hard sell when it comes to erotica, but the way Ms. Moore presented the erotica twist and turns, I will admit at this point and time, it is the best that I have read.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves to read a story about groups of people that co-exist at times with respect, sensuality, while other times with such a need of power & control that life seems to fall apart with rapid speed that you don't know which way to turn and how it will all end. The endearment of the choosing of mates, to the eroticisms the youth share may leave you tingling. Although this is a fantasy fiction, so much in my opinion could be a reflection of life as we know it in the real world. We experience the sense of inclusiveness, to separation, to rivals, while trying to take out the old and bring in the new. We experience the challenges of defining intimacy and relationships. All of this is in this book, just shared in a different light. Taste by B. Sharise Moore is one of the best books I have read in a while as a book reviewer and it captured me as a reader and a fan. I so look forward to future writings by this gifted writer, B. Sharise Moore.

LaRue

Larue

Song writer, and Musician "LaRue" was born JaWaan LaRue in Seattle, Washington in 1981. He began his musical venture at the early age of 14 doing High School talent shows, pep assemblies, and local city festivals with his group "The Elements". After graduating high school he decided to join the Army to avoid street trouble and make something of his life. LaRue ended up serving 8 yrs in the Army including one deployment overseas in 2004-2005 for Iraqi freedom. During his deployment he recorded an album titled "Hard Headed" that never was released.

After returning home he teamed up with super producer Rising Son, and Marcus D to form an alliance called "City of Dreams". After releasing his single "Certified Hip Hop" he began receiving media attention. His music began getting spins on: Kube 93.3, Kexp Street Sounds 90.3, KBCS 91.3, and he also made several appearances on the popular public access channel show "Hip Hop 101 T.V.". He's done numerous of shows up and down the west coast with names such as NeYo, Del the Funky Homosapien, Souls of Mischeif, Mr. Lif and many more.

His style has been quoted to be, "Grown and Sexy but Gutter". This young man has touched many people with songs such as: "Rise Up" explaining the struggle of African Americans and the equality of all people. "I'm A soldier" explaining his War experience in words that paint a picture for anyone to see. His music is the future. He's got a gift that not many pose. The ability to paint pictures with words.
Media Quotes:

"Dude has an aggressive revolutionary flair reminiscent of Dead Prez, but I suspect he's influenced more by his life than he is by the works of other politically-minded MCs. "
Kevin Capp
Seattle Weekly
http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/reverb/2009/02/larues_call_to_arms.php
"I first caught my man at Obese's last "Make It or Break It" show, and he got my attention from jump with his confident stage presence and hard-hitting bars. My immediate reaction was, "Why haven't I heard of this guy before"? His debut album, I Can Only Be Me, strikes an honest and oft-neglected balance-street but not gangsta, thoughtful but not emo, underground but not backpack. LaRue's commanding voice sounds good over both the keyboard-heavy and dustier, 9th Wonder-esque beats, his flow is way solid, his punch lines are clever, and his hooks hook you; LaRue is a real MC, and this LP is a further testament to the variety of hungry talent bubbling in Seattle."

I will be giving away 50 - 60 free mixtapes to the first arrivers. And because it's close to veterans day i will also be letting Military personell with I.D. in for free cover.

I choose this specific line up of performers for a reason. If your not familar with them let me run them down quickly.

Diggz Dime - Who is also releasing a mixtape the night of is one of the most talented Mc's i've came across and worked with out of Seattle. He's perfected his craft over the yrs and has molded into an excellent performer. A must see

Quarter After - Is a duo of Mc and Producer. The Mc is Justis. He's a young man with a bright future. He attends college at Seattle U and contains some sick lyrical word play. The Producer Marcus D. Marcus D is a super producer on the rise rapidly. He's not only signed to a major label in Japan but just recently won the Big Tune Producers battle in 2009. This winter he'll be competing in Atlanta for the finals. These two together are very exciting. A must see

Team Avengers - Team Avengers is a dance crew. These young fellas are very exciting to watch. They are leaders of our new generation. They are known for their style of dance called "Jerking" and all kind of other styles. What's special about them is they are teenagers with positive attitudes. There not in the streets gangbanging or selling dope, there a group of friends using their spare time to be creative through dance.

I salute them. They are a must see!!!

I need your help y'all.. if you can post the flier up, or tell some people, send out texts, tweets, etc whatever will help.
